A big congratulations to the Schulich School of Law's 2023 National Champion Jessup Moot team, just back from a stellar showing in Washington DC last week. More importantly, giant high-fives to our own incoming articled clerk and team member Brent Campagnola, and to the team's deputy coach, BWB associate Sarah MacLeod.
In Washington the team represented Canada at the 2023 White & Case International Rounds, along with teams from the University of Western Ontario and the University of British Columbia. The Schulich team acquitted themselves extremely well in the preliminary rounds, defeating teams from China, Saudi Arabia and Lithuania before losing a hard-fought match to a UK team. Their 3-1 record advanced them to the “Final 48” – the only one of the three Canadian teams to make the cut – ultimately falling in an intense match with George Washington University.
