About Nolan

Nolan is a member of the firm’s transactions group, assisting clients on business transactions and real estate. He advises individuals and business organizations of various sizes on a wide variety of business law matters, including purchases and sales of businesses, incorporating new companies, corporate reorganizations, shareholder agreements, and contract negotiation and preparation. He also acts for parties to real estate transactions, including residential and commercial financing agreements and conveyancing.

After growing up in Halifax, he obtained a B.A. from the University of Toronto, an M.A. in philosophy from the University of Guelph, and a Ph.D. in philosophy from Boston University. After teaching for several years at universities in Massachusetts and New York, he returned to Ontario and attended Osgoode Hall Law School at York University.

Nolan was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2022. He returned to Nova Scotia to serve as a judicial law clerk at the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal, where he gained valuable experience in commercial and real estate disputes, administrative and public law, and civil litigation. He was called to the Bar of Nova Scotia in 2023.
