Burchells LLP is very pleased to celebrate the arrival of Alexandra Strang, Jonathan Adams, and Eliza Richardson, our three exemplary articled clerks for 2022-2023.
Prior to law school, Alexandra obtained her BA in Sociology from Mount Allison University, where she played varsity basketball. At the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University she worked closely with Burchells LLP counsel Naiomi Metallic on a variety of projects in Indigenous rights and Aboriginal law. She also honed her skills with Dalhousie Legal Aid and in a variety of pro bono projects.
Jonathan graduated from UNB Law, where he co-founded the Black Law Students’ Association. He completed a Bachelor of Commerce at Concordia University in Montreal and has a keen interest in corporate and commercial issues. Prior to law school Jonathan was employed as a trade representative and an associate financial advisor, working in both French and English.
Eliza also has a history of academic accomplishment. She obtained a Master of Arts in History prior to starting law school. During law school she was managing editor of the Dalhousie Journal of Legal Studies, and volunteered with the Dalhousie Pro Bono Wills Project. Eliza also has some unique and practical work experience with the federal government at Shared Services Canada, where she worked in both official languages to prepare contracts for various federal government agencies.
All of us at Burchells LLP appreciate the dedication, hard work and experience these accomplished people bring to the firm, and look forward to working with them at the beginning of their exciting legal careers.
