Rosalie Francis and Keith Lehwald were tremendous articled clerks. Now they're tremendous lawyers. And we are so pleased to welcome Keith and Rosalie into the Burchells fold.
Rosalie, herself a member of the Sipekne’katik Mi’kmaq First Nation community, brings a wealth of experience in Aboriginal rights and issues. Prior to law school she worked for the Union of Nova Scotia Indians, directly involved in the implementation of the Donald Marshall Junior Royal Commission Recommendations, and the litigation and negotiation of Mi’kmaq Rights. Rosalie has since worked closely with the Assembly of Nova Scotia Mi’kmaq Chiefs.
Keith arrives with a broad range of interests but a particular passion for law's application to new and emerging technologies. In addition to a range of community activities he distinguished himself at school academic achievements including the Eric Dennis Gold Medal in Political Science and a Law Foundation of Nova Scotia scholarship.
With the addition of these great lawyers Burchells is bigger and better than ever.
