Let us tell you a bit about new associate Sarah MacCallum...

Following a fantastic articling year, Burchells is pleased to welcome back new associate lawyer, Sarah MacCallum

Want to know more about her?  There's actually a lot to tell.

First, Sarah hails from beautiful Pictou County.  Let's hope she's happy living in the city but making frequent visits home for her Pictou fix.

Second, she has a lot of letters after her name. These include BSc (hons), MA, and JD.

An Honours Baccalaureate Degree in Psychology and Masters in Health Promotion give Sarah unique insights into issues of community mental health and administration.  These are surprisingly useful in a law practice.  At the University of New Brunswick Sarah earned her Juris Doctor, graduating on the Law School Dean’s List in 2021.

Among other achievements during law school, Sarah was program coordinator for Pro Bono Students Canada's UNB Chapter, where she oversaw the implementation of UNB’s first Trans ID Clinic, helping trans and non-binary individuals change legal documents to match their identities.

We are so glad Sarah has chosen Burchells for her legal career.  She makes us better and stronger, and exemplifies the community involvement we think makes the firm unique.  Welcome aboard, Sarah!
