Burchells’ litigation partner Jason Cooke has been appointed Chair of the Halifax Regional Municipality's Heritage Advisory Committee. The committee advises regional council on heritage issues like the inclusion of buildings, streetscapes and areas in the Heritage Registry, demolition applications for heritage properties and the administration of conservation districts. Jason served as Vice Chair for the past two years. This position is a great complement to Jason's professional focus on administrative law, and also reflects Burchells' ongoing commitment to our community. Congratulations Jason!
