About Tiffany
Tiffany Cheverie is Legal Counsel with Burchells LLP. She joined the firm in 2009 as a summer law student. Tiffany holds a BA (St. Thomas University), an LLB (Dalhousie University) and a Certificate in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution (Dalhousie College of Continuing Education). She practices in the areas of administrative law, insurance law and property law. Tiffany is keenly interested in the alternative dispute resolution process. She provides advice and representation on matters involving insurance contract disputes, personal injury, professional discipline and real property conveyancing. Tiffany has participated in numerous mediations and settlement conferences for clients.
Inside the firm, Tiffany has been an active mentor for newer lawyers and dedicated her time to our Articling Program. She continues to be involved in mentorship and training of Articling Clerks and summer students.
Since September 2019, Tiffany has split her time between legal practice and a faculty position at the Nova Scotia Community College where she teaches law to the Paralegal and Business students. At NSCC, Tiffany teaches Litigation as well as Property and Conflict Resolution to the Paralegal Students. She also teaches Business Law to students in the Accounting and Entrepreneurship programs. As Faculty at NSCC, Tiffany is passionate about bringing industry expertise to the classroom and building strong authentic relationships with students.
In her spare time, Tiffany volunteers with the First Baptist Church Refugee Resettlement Committee. She is a proud mother to three boys. Tiffany is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society.
