About Parker
Parker Byrne is a member of our Municipal, Labour & Employment, Insurance, and Litigation service areas, with a particular focus on insurance defence litigation.
Parker graduated from Mount Allison University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts (Philosophy). At Mount Allison, he was the recipient of the Dr. J.E.A. Crake Scholarship in Humanities, and both the Treash and Lisson Memorial Prizes in Philosophy. Parker received his law degree from Dalhousie University’s Schulich School of Law in 2021. While in law school, Parker completed an internship with the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission, as well as a pro bono project with the Centre for Law and Democracy.
Parker routinely advises municipalities on a variety of challenging matters. He assists clients with navigating dynamic labour relations issues. Parker also has experience litigating disputes and is keen on growing his insurance defence practice. He takes a practical, conscientious, and personable approach in dealing with all client matters and has represented clients at all levels of Court in Nova Scotia. Parker also has experience as a prosecutor, having worked as an agent for the Public Prosecution Service of Canada.
Parker was born and raised in Chance Harbour, Nova Scotia. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, being active, watching movies, playing guitar, creative writing, and reading.
