About Meaghan
Meaghan practices in the litigation and municipal law groups.
Meaghan enjoys working closely with her clients to develop creative, proactive solutions to their legal problems.
Meaghan received a scholarship to attend law school at the University of Western Ontario. During law school, she worked as a research assistant and a counsellor in the writing support center.
Meaghan was first called to the bar in Ontario in 2019, after articling at a full-service firm in London. Following her call to the bar, she practiced municipal law in Ontario. She provided strategic advice and representation to municipalities in law enforcement proceedings, expropriations, civil litigation, and land use planning disputes. Meaghan appeared before the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Ontario Superior Court, the Ontario Court of Justice, and the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal/Ontario Land Tribunal.
Meghan returned home to Nova Scotia in 2021. At Wickwire Holm, Meaghan continues to assist municipalities with a broad range of legal issues – from providing advice on FOIPOP compliance to defending civil claims. Meaghan is also growing her practice in civil litigation, with a particular focus on professional negligence matters.
Outside of the office, Meaghan enjoys lane swimming, listening to podcasts, and spending time with her family in Antigonish.
