Brian also acts for numerous corporate clients, with emphasis on acquisitions and sales.

Brian has been repeatedly recommended by LEXPERT® as a lawyer in Banking and Financing matters, and is listed by Lawday Real Time Law as among the 90 leading lawyers in Canada in the area of Banking and Finance.

Brian is recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada for his practice in Banking and Finance Law (since 2006).

Brian is a past Commissioner for Nova Scotia Legal Aid.  He is past Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Halifax Grammar School, and has served as Treasurer of the Nova Scotia Liberal Party and on the Finance Committee of the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society.  The former president of Ashburn Golf Club, he has been a member of various fundraising committees for organizations such as the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia and the Grace Maternity Hospital.
