About Ashley

Ashley is an Associate practicing in BWB’s litigation, administrative law, employment law, and Aboriginal law groups. Ashley was voted one of 2023's Leading Legal Practitioners in Aboriginal law across Canada. 

Ashley has been involved in a wide range of litigation matters, including Aboriginal law litigation, and professional liability claims. Ashley has appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada, the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal, the New Brunswick Court of Appeal, Federal Court, and Nova Scotia Supreme Court.

Ashley’s administrative law practice includes judicial review, human rights matters, and professional regulation matters. Ashley has appeared before various administrative tribunals, including the Nova Scotia Police Review Board and Human Rights Boards of Inquiry.    

Ashley’s employment law practice includes advising both Indigenous and non-Indigenous employers and employees. She is also an active member of the firm’s workplace investigations team.

With a passion for social justice, you can also find Ashley co-instructing the Kawaskimhon Aboriginal Law moot at the Schulich School of Law, rollerskating, and raising her two young children.
